Dr Kevin Chan is a distinguished Consultant Respiratory and Sleep Medicine Physician and has been awarded the Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
As well as leading Elevate’s sleep disorders clinic, Dr Chan is a Visiting Medical Officer of Sydney Adventist Hospital, University of Sydney and Staff Specialist in Respiratory Medicine, Campbelltown and Camden Hospitals in the Sydney South West Local Health District of NSW. He is also a Conjoint Lecturer at the School of Medicine, University of Western Sydney and Medical Director of The Sleep Diagnostics Group in Sydney. He has a deep commitment to health and wellbeing through addressing respiratory and sleep disorders and related conditions, highlighted by his previous role as the Medical Review Officer for the NSW Ombudsman.
Dr Chan is a leading researcher in the interaction between obstructive sleep apnoea and chronic cough and in the research of diagnosis of sleep disorders using digital video. He also has a strong clinical interest in the impact of obstructive sleep apnoea on cognition, work performance and safety. Aside from his professional life, he is passionate about soccer, International Bridge, classical music and classical singing and is an accomplished pianist, qualified at the Australian Music Examinations Board.
