Healthy take away lunch options in Sydney CBD

Working in the city and unsure where to grab some healthy grub? There really is  lot of take away lunch options in the Sydney CBD. Here’s a list of my favourite which cater to all appetites – meat and veggie lovers alike.

Heathy Life: Located on King Street, this health food shop has a small café where you can order your food to go. It has sandwiches, wraps, smoothies, and plenty of tempting (yet healthy) sweet treats. Conveniently, this is also a health food shop that sells everything from supplement to personal care products. Mainly natural-based and organic.

Thrive: Located in Australia Square and the MLC in Sydney’s CBD, Thrive has freshly made meals ready to take away. Paleo-based (meaning predominately grain-free meals) options include a variety of vegetables and a lean source of protein, such as chicken, salmon, or grass-fed beef. Tofu is also on the menu for vegetarians.

Soul Origin: Located in Winter Garden, this is the hub of sensational salads. From rocket, roasted pumpkin and chickpeas, to a buckwheat or quinoa-based salad, this place has you covered. Soul Origin also has some take-away breakfast options, such as gluten-free banana bread and an assortment of freshly made muffins.

Fish Bowl: Located in Chifley Plaza, Fish Bowl is a ‘build your own’ salad bar with an Asian twist. Healthy, whole food options, enough to fill your belly for the afternoon!

Fossix: A convenient and easily accessible cafe that serves ready to go, healthy lunch options. They even make their own, freshly baked sweet treats! Located at 130 Pitt Street.

Crafty Cuts: Located in MLC in the CBD, this cafe offers mouth water slow cooked lamb, roasted chicken and pulled pork. You can grab a meat and veggie dish, or combine them to make a delicious and hearty sandwich. Yum!

Iku Wholefoods: Another favourite located in the MLC center, Iku serves up vegan and vegetarian options, and includes some tasty, raw treats for dessert options.

The Cross Eatery: A menu with a Mediterranean twist, The Cross offers breakfast and lunch takeaway options, sourced from fresh and local produce. Located at 155 Clarence Street, CBD.
