Sydney restaurants where you can enjoy a healthy meal

When you are focused on eating nutritious meals everyday but lead a busy life and love a meal out now and then, it’s not easy to find the perfect restaurant. If you need to eliminate gluten or sugar from your diet, would prefer organic ingredients or want to eat paleo, below is a list from our naturopath of some Sydney restaurants where you can enjoy a healthy meal.

Nour: Located in Surry Hills on Crown Street, Nour offers classic Lebanese cuisine presented with modern and exciting flavours. It’s a great place to catch up with friends after work and enjoy a delicious, quality cooked meal!

Porteno: Conveniently nestled in Surry Hills within the city, Porteno offers traditional flavours of Argentina prepared fresh for all customers to enjoy. Porteno is open for lunch and dinner, and customers can expect a tapas-style serve up. Perfect for both large and small groups alike!

Restaurant Hubert: If you’re looking for a casual yet elegant dining experience, check out Restaurant Hubert. Authentic French cuisine located in the convenient city centre: 15 Bligh Street. Open for lunch and dinner. Hubert offers classic-style French dishes, such as beef tartare, boudin noir, and bavette steak.

Alpha Restaurant: Alpha combines modern and ancient Greek flavours at a reasonable cost; freshly sourced produce serving up wholesome food. Alpha is located in the city centre on Castlereagh Street. Attached is a mini-Greek food shop, where customers can purchase fresh coffee and home-style baked Greek-sweets for an afternoon pick-me-up!

The Langham, Sydney: Offers an elegant dining experience, also open for afternoon tea. Located at 89-113 Kent Street, The Langham features a mix of modern Australian and European food. A great place for high tea, birthdays, and an early morning breakfast meeting!

Grill’d: Located in Surry Hills, this is fantastic dine-in option. The meat is grass-fed, and options include beef, chicken, and lamb. They have some stellar sides, such as sweet potato and zucchini chips. Delicious and nutritious!

1821: If you’re looking for more of an up-scale venue, this Greek style restaurant serves up some fabulous food! It gives a modern-day twist to Greek cuisine, and much of the food is sourced from local and sustainable suppliers.

Mad Pizza: Light and fluffy crusted pizza, including gluten-free options for those sensitive to gluten, or diagnosed with Coeliac disease. You can find them nestled in Surry Hills. Who doesn’t love pizza?!

The Paddington: If you’re leaving the city but feeling quite peckish on the way home, why not make a pit stop in Paddington and grab some dinner with friends? They cook a drool-worthy roasted chicken, complete with sticky golden-brown skin for eye appeal.
