“I am passionate about helping my clients and relieving their pain and discomfort”.
A bit about Jessica…
What is podiatry?
Podiatry or podiatric medicine is the branch of medicine that cares and deals with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases of the human foot and lower limbs. Podiatry treats and alleviates day to day foot problems from corns and callous, verrucas (warts), heel pain and flat feet. In addition it is part of my job to provide advice and practical education to my clients to alleviate these problems.
What is your area of expertise?
My main areas of expertise are the fore-foot and rear-foot pain e.g corns, callous and heel pain. This can often be due to the biomechanics of the foot which I am able to assist with.
What led you to Elevate?
Elevate is a multidisciplinary clinic, treating people from all walks of life. This enables me to meet different people every day, something that I thrive on. Being able to work collaboratively with other practitioners is an advantage and it is a fantastic opportunity to be a part of this very experienced team.
What do you appreciate about Elevate?
I like the idea of participating in the team nature of Elevate and being able to spend quality treatment/care time with my clients: – this greatly enhances patient care.
What are your core beliefs of wellness and health?
My core beliefs are being able to improve the life of others in health, fitness and wellbeing. I believe in leading an active and healthy lifestyle. I am passionate about eating healthy and keeping active including attending regular yoga sessions.
What mistakes do clients make?
Clients have the best intentions with their treatment regime, however they don’t always follow through with our instructions. Clients must take our advice on board and not take shortcuts!
What key health lessons do you like to impart to your clients?
Whilst working to improve mobility and quality of life for my clients I encourage them to accept preventative care and treatment affecting their lower limbs.
What do you enjoy about your job?
I feel satisfied knowing that when I have finished an appointment with a client I have been a part of enhancing their life for the better! That’s a great feeling.
