What led you to Elevate?
Elevate is a fantastic opportunity to combine my experience and skills in massage and rehabilitation. Working alongside other practitioners with a holistic approach we can treat our clients as a whole with the facilities and services to do so under one roof. The convenience of being a multidisciplinary centre does not only assist in achieving the patients short term goals, but more importantly the patients overall long term health. Elevate sets high standards that are above and beyond some clinics that I have experienced in the past.
What do you appreciate about Elevate?
The ability to work in a dynamic and innovative work environment with a committed team of professionals with years of experience. I appreciate the systematic and professional approach in treatment planning and being able to refer to other practitioners in one centre pooling our skill, talents and energy to achieve positive outcomes for our patients.
What are your core beliefs about wellness and health?
In my experience as a massage therapist for 6 years, I can say that one of the most essential pieces of information that I can share is to learn to prioritise your health by putting yourself first and to allowing time for your goals to gain long term success for your health and wellbeing. Take the time to exercise, meditate, and take up yoga classes or participate in sports that you enjoy doing. At the same time maintain regular treatment, see your GP regularly and also eat with health in mind. Like getting regular oil changes for your car, prioritising your self-care is what allows you to run smoothly and to bring your best to your other priorities and challenges!
What mistakes do patients make?
Not sticking to their treatment plan and not following advice. Injuries take time to heal. Be in tune with your body and look out for aggravating factors that may be contributing to pain whether you are at work, playing sports or at the gym. Another common mistake is leaving treatment to the last minute when you’re at your worst state. With most jobs that are repetitive it can cause a build-up of physical stress. Corresponding to regular treatment and advice will assist in preventing further injuries, and improve your wellbeing.
What key health lessons do you like to impart to patients?
Build healthy habits and healthy choices. Once we start to get into the routine of healthy living, we will get into the routine of living a permanently healthy lifestyle.
Most people are busy and stressed with their everyday work chores thus leading to poor posture, headaches, and tense muscles. Take the time and make it a habit to take regular breaks, walk around, stretch, or even go for a lunchtime jog.

What do you enjoy about your job?
I enjoy the challenges that come with working with patients in variety of cases. More ever, I love making a difference by helping patients feel better by alleviating pain, helping them feel confident and good about themselves and seeing improvement. Just the thought of someone walking out of their session feeling brand new and happy is rewarding.
Tell us a little about your credentials?
I completed my diploma of Remedial Massage in 2008 at Karuna College in Wollongong. My main focus is Remedial and Sports massage. Other techniques I incorporate are trigger points, myofascial release and lymphatic drainage. I also incorporate Swedish massage and Pregnancy massage when need be. Having a strong interest in Health and fitness I continued to study and obtained a Bachelor Degree in Applied Science (Sports and Exercise Science) in 2011. I worked for 3 physiotherapy clinics throughout my 6 years of experience, treating diverse clientele’s and also working closely with gym goers, athletes and patients who are training for major events such as Spartan and City to Surf.
What are your extracurricular passions?
I enjoy the outdoors, bootcamp and the occasional gym session. I love any sports that involve kicking, throwing, and hitting a ball, and enjoy watching the footy and NBA. I also love food and exploring restaurants, travelling overseas, live music and playing the keyboards.
